-
I recommend getting gas at Fresh Pond Chevron before starting the trail. One tank of gas is usually plenty to complete the trail. That being said, it doesn’t hurt to bring a spare rotopax. It’s more often used for others then yourself.
-
We will be taking the “conventional” route. We will be avoiding the optional, most difficult lines. That being said, there are still plenty of obstacles with no bypasses. Everything you see in the video at the top of the page, you will have to do.
-
In the off-chance you need to be life flighted, it helps to have insurance or medical coverage that covers air ambulance. There is no quick way off the trail except by helicopter.
-
Yourself and everyone with you. No food, drinks or gas is provided by this event. Though we hope to grow this event in the future!
-
Bears frequent the trail and love your food. Keep all food sealed and out of your tent. If you have unsealed food in your car, they will get into your car. Rattlesnakes love to dwell under the rocks in the day and come out on top in the evening. Wear boots and watch your kids.
-
There is no cell service or internet anywhere on the Rubicon. Plan accordingly.
