Wildhorse Track
This is a favorite of mine, while very easy, it winds through the desert hills from Moonrocks, Nv deep into horse country. Chances of seeing a pack of wild horses are high! Please do not disturb the horses and stay on the main roads. This trail is located on public land, you are free to camp, adventure and explore. Please pack out all your trash and help keep your public lands beautiful! Cell service is sparse on this trail. The trail itself eventually loops back out to the main road via Jumbo Ranch rd but can take a few hours. Keep in mind that the desert can get hot in the summer but cold at night. Rain can make the trail very muddy and roads can fill with water. Bring enough food and water to spend the night, have a way to communicate with someone such as a Starlink (we offer Starlink for our rentals). Moonrocks OHV is in the area, this is a free, open riding area. It gets busy on weekends so watch out for fellow recreators. This area is popular for riding, staging or camping. There are several area to explore nearby and is a few hours drive from Black Rock Playa as well.
Attached is a link to OnX Off-road app for the trail. I highly recommend downloading the OnX Off-Road app on your phone for free!
